We finished mixing the new THUNDRA album, "Ignored By Fear", 2 weeks ago.And it sounds great...really massive.We then sent the album to Dan Swanö at Unisound for mastering. 2 days later he already had done it. We checked the master over and over, and he gave the album that final pro sound.We are really happy with the final result!The album will be out August 29th!!!

Right now we are almost finished mixing our upcoming album, "Ignored By Fear"It's just the small fine tunings left, so next week it will be finished.The mastering will be done by none other than the legendary Dan Swanö!!!

Yeah...last weekend we started working on our upcoming album. Everything went great. Harald did an amazing job laying down the drum tracks....in just 8 hours!!Rune have now started working on the rythm guitars....and there will be plenty of them.Rune will lay down 4 rythm tracks, 2 lead tracks, solo tracks, and of course clean and accoustic guitars.So there is plenty of work to be done for him.We are also filming the sessions, so stay tuned for more news and some videos from the studio.THUNDRA
THUNDRA will enter Black Dimension Studio February 6th, to start recording their 3rd album.

We are proud to announce that THUNDRA has sign a deal with EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN!!
Einheit Productions has issued the following statement about signing a record deal with Norwegian band Thundra:
"A little sensation will soon forge its way: THUNDRA, Norwegian Viking Metal pioneers from the earliest days, will release their eagerly anticipated third studio album in late summer of 2009 ! The daredevlish Norwegian horde consisting of founding members of Viking Metal deities ENSLAVED & EINHERJER offer highly epic song material of highest quality, which truly breathes the old nordic spirit . The title of the warrior manifesto, which will be released by EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN, is still undecided as of yet, but in terms of musical quality some already established greats of the genre will have to wrap themselves up warmly !"
Yeah it’s due for some news from the THUNDRA camp.
First the good news.
We are now in the process of preparing the new THUNDRA album.We’ve finished the base track(click track) for all the songs, and hopefully we’ll start recording the album in November.
The new album will be released through a label, we’re in dialog with right now
We’re also in a dialog with another label, for a re-release of our last album “Worshipped By Chaos”
Now the sad news.
Thor Erik Helgesen (guitar/vocals) has decided to leave the band.
There is nothing dramatic behind his decision.We’re still good friends, but he felt that he didn’t contribute anymore,
and that he would concentrate on his other band.

Well, it's been really quiet from the THUNDRA camp in almost one year.This was due to a really seriously sickness that struck one of our members.He is now fully recovered and at full strength to deliver more metal to the masses :)We are now rehearsing on 7 new killer songs that we'll hopefully record sometime first quarter 2008!!!As most of you know, THUNDRA has always been unfortunate with record labels, going bankrupt and so on...But hopefully we'll get a new and more stable record deal this time.THUNDRA
